For a long time I have been a huge fan of the affordable mascara from European brand Avril....
Then the wonderful people at Naturisimo sent me a tube of the Ilia Mascara in Nightfall to try out... and I fell in love.
This will just be a short post as I do have an in depth video with a demo which you can watch by clicking here.
I have to share some information about this mascara as I am really in love!
It's very difficult for a high end/high priced item to impress me... and at £22 a tube there is no denying that this mascara isn't cheap.
Having said that... The packaging looks and feel very high quality and the product inside warrants you, in my opinion, parting with a larger wad of cash than normal.
As you can buy this from Naturisimo (here) without paying any delivery charges (worldwide) then you know that there is no extra cost to factor in. Not only that but Naturisimo often run 10-15% off events across the site.
Watch my video to see the product in action but the below comparison pictures (0 coats versus 2 coats) speak for themselves. This mascara; lengthens, thickens, darkens and (in my opinion) curls lashes. It also claims to improve the condition of your lashes and looking at the 85% organic ingredients I'm not surprised it lives up to this claim.
I have not experienced any flaking or smudging at all, not even in high heat/stress conditions.
Ingredients:
When I ran a report on these ingredients and the overall score on EWG was just 1, with no individual ingredient scoring more than a 2.
What do you think? Have you tried this? Would you? Or does the price put you off?
