3 Tips For Shiny Hair

3 Simple Tricks For Beautiful Hair

I believe that our hair is our crowning glory. Having beautiful shiny hair is a major head turner! Unfortunately, some of us are just not born with hair meant for superstardom. Is your mane dry, limp, dull? Well, ladies, don’t fret, there is a way to revive your locks! With these simple tips, gorgeous hair is finally within reach!

Indulge On A Good Hair Mask

Regular use of hair masks is important especially for colored or treated hair. The purpose of a hair mask is to  deep condition your locks, in order to keep them healthy. You can choose to buy a hair mask off the shelf or, for those of you who love using natural products, you can always make one from ingredients found in your kitchen!

My favorite recipe includes:
2 tbsp coconut oil
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp honey

Mix all ingredients and apply on dry hair. Massage gently starting from the roots and distribute what’s left from the mixture onto the lengths. Leave on (with a shower cap on) for 20 minutes and then shampoo your hair as per usual. Even though some say hair masks should be “a monthly hair treat” I believe for the most part it depends on the condition of your hair and if you feel it needs some extra nourishment, you can use a mask every week.

Protect Your Locks from the Sun

We all know that the sun can damage our skin. But most of us are not aware that the sun’s UV rays can also damage our hair, making it dry, coarse, and brittle. So just like our skin, we should protect our hair from the sun. Wearing a hat, scarf, or anything that will cover your hair will do the trick. You can also opt for purchasing a hair spray with UV protection if wearing hats/scars is not your thing. Alternatively, when you go to the beach you can apply pure organic  Hempseed oil, Wheatgerm oil, Jojoba oil, Coconut oil or  Shea butter as they all have natural SPF and are sure to keep your gorgeous hair safe from the sun (plus all of them are super, super  great for your hair!).

Another way to keep the moisture inside and thus making sure your hair looks healthy and frizz-free is to apply a hair serum while your locks are still damp. If you are into DIY beauty, visit this link and learn how to prepare your own homemade hair strengthening serum! 100% natural!

Finish with a Cool Rinse

The biggest low down of hot showers is that they  damage your hair just like your blow-dryer does (we are not talking about ultra-high heat but still heat. And your hair doesn’t like hear, no-no!). Hot water makes your hair weak and susceptible to breakage, not to mention it takes away all the shiny away by opening the hair cuticles. Wondering why your hair looks like so bad after a hot shower? Well, now you know. On top of that hot water dehydrates your hair, stripping it off its natural oils.

Though, I know you can’t possibly avoid hot showers all the time (neither can I, not even during the summer season), a cold rinse right before leaving the shower will seal the hair cuticles and lock the moisture in. Moisturizer hair is less likely to look frizzy and brittle.

If you feel you hair has lost its luster and strength, there is a way to make it bouncy and luminous again! Pure Organic Plant Oils are wonderful for restoring hair's vitality and helping it resist external damage!
